Crash Course in C (CCC)
Thursday, 07 June 2007

Description taken from CS website is:

This module is available to all students in the Department. Ability to program in C is a requirement of the CGV, LSA and CGO modules. Students who do not have prior knowledge of the language should take this course. It is also often useful for students who may want to undertake a third-year project requiring a C implementation or who may be expected to program in C on a Sandwich Placement. Finally, it looks good on your CV to have learned C. This is an intense module. It builds on the students' existing knowledge of programming in Pascal, Java or Ada. It will then go on to expand on the features of C and of programming in the language including identifying the differences from those languages. The module is taught twice (so as to be available to different groups of students). The first presentation is through three, three-hour lectures. Also available is an on-line interactive course. This is meant mainly for students who cannot attend the above lectures, but can be used by anyone to reinforce and improve their knowledge of C programming.
